" Just a quick note to say thank you very much for the Three Peaks Challenge we have just competed. The whole event was excellently organised and all members of the Mountain Teams were very helpful and at no point did we feel completely on our own, although up Scafel at 3 in the morning we did begin to wonder!! "

" Everybody wants to do it again which is a worry as I still have to walk backwards down stairs because of sore shins, but u're right the aches will wear off and hopefully we can start planning the next one! "

Hope you are well, as I said when we spoke earlier in the week, I just
wanted to express our thanks via an e-mail. Last weekend was a huge
success, Mike and I have never organised an event like this before and
your advice running up to the event was greatly appreciated. Keith and
Neil were outstanding, they really took the pressure off us as organisers
and did great job of transporting us, cooking for us and getting us back
to Crewe in time for the last train back to Bristol!

Here are some comments from some of our team,

If anybody is speaking to the mersey adventure chaps pls pass on our
thanks as well as they did a great job and furthermore introduced me to
the stagg and full monty

Thanks to everyone at EY and Mersey Ventures for a great and memorable weekend - very well organised.

Thanks again for a fantastic weekend which was brilliantly organised. And
to think all the aches and pains are worth it for the amount we raised for
charity.

I'm not sure we'll be doing this again, but if I know of anyone else who
is, I will definitely recommend you!

Just wanted to say thanks so much for all your and the drivers help! We had a great time and they helped us hugely with hints and tips and didn’t hang around when it came to getting to the next mountain!

I just wanted to add my personal thanks to you and especially to the wonderful Allan and Marcus for looking after us in such a fantastic way this weekend.

Really, there are no words to sum up what was for me a highly gruelling, and yet incredibly emotional and fulfilling experience. I honestly don't think we would have made it without Marcus and Allan - Marcus generously said to me that he wasn't the one pushing me up the mountain - but do you know, I think he might have been on one or two occasions!

Please, Please pass on to them once again my thanks - they were awesome.

Can I also say that you organised and brilliant weekend. The food was just right - even though I was so car sick I couldn't eat much of it. The little cool bags with munchies fruit and goodies were great. Water, tea, coffee, sandwiches, a bottle of bubbly - you had thought of it all and so again, thank you. I do not know how I will fill my time now I don't have to think about mountains. At the moment when I close my eyes, all I can see are rocks - big bad rocks! Then I relive, what was for me, my crisis moment on the zig zags at Snowdon - but I am sure it will pass.

I certainly will remember this experience all my life,

Well - we completed the challenge and I have to say that both Frank and Paul were absolutely fantastic as our guide and driver. Organised, efficient and with great sense of humours that helped to pull us through the tough bits (of which there were a few!). I would be grateful if you could thank them both again for us for all their patience and advice which made such a difference on the day.

Thank you for all your organising Richie. I will certainly be recommending Mersey Ventures to anybody else I know mad enough to want to attempt this challenge.

Thanks again for a great weekend, certainly lived up to its “Challenge” title! The organisation was spot on and very much appreciated that extra bottle at the end of the Snowdon, also the maps and T shirt were great mementos of the weekend.

Have to admit at the time it was a bit disappointing not making the top of Snowden but it was absolutely 100% the right call and, looking back, it in no way diluted my personal satisfaction of what was achieved. Guess you guys are out in all sorts a lot of the time, but for me this was quite a test, and feel pretty good about getting it done.

Also wanted to say what a top job Gary did, really nice guy with a wealth of knowledge and experience he happily passed on, was always in good hands.

Thanks again, hope to be back for another soon, may get one of those winter skills courses under my belt before the next winter one. Anyway, have to come back to see if Paul ever learns to drive, now there is a challenge!

It's been a couple of weeks no since we did the 3 peaks. Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thanks to JohnBo (and you) for your help and advice on the event. Given that we were an unfit, disorganised bunch of middle aged no-hopers, the advice from you before the event and from JohnBo was invaluable in making our trial a great success. We didn't make the 24 hours but given that we had a straggler from the off and we had a knee give out at the top of Scafell it is no small feat that 4 of the 5 of us did it all.

We had a great time and johnbo was very supportive and informative.

The investment in getting a driver was well worth it and made it all the more possible and enjoyable.

Well the legs have recovered now, and all the sponsorship and press stuff has been sorted, and the money's trickling in; the photographs have been processed and sent to everyone involved, so it just leaves me to thank Mersey Venture for a wonderful weekend. People keep asking me if there were any dicey moments, and I can honestly say I can't think of any; we set out to do it as a single team, and that's what we achieved, no drop-outs, no injuries, and still all speaking to one another at the end. Your organisation and approach to the event was excellent, and all of your team were supportive and helpful, and you organised perfect weather, something I didn't believe was possible after my three previous experiences where out of 9 peaks, only on one did I glimpse anything from a summit, albeit very briefly, and on 6 or 7 out of 9 peaks we finished the descent soaking wet, and had to get dried out before the next one.

I now feel a little like Sir Stephen Redgrave after his 6th? gold medal when he said............if anyone sees me in a boat again, they have my permission to shoot me, only for me it's not a boat but the Three Peaks, not sure what the motivation to do it again would be.

Anyway, I would have no hesitation in recommending Mersey Venture to any team wanting to do The Three Peaks for their chosen charity, or just because it's there!

We all had a fantastic time doing the 3 Peaks last week and I am getting emails left right and centre from challengers saying how much they enjoyed the event.

We are going to collate the feedback and are in the process of getting testimonials from teams too, I'll email them on to you as everyone speaks really highly of you and Merseyventure and they would be good quotes for you to use if you want. "
