Corporate Three Peaks Challenge - Walking Route

The following route is planned for all of our Three Peaks Challenge events, and is for your training and familiarisation information only. In certain circumstances, we may need to alter the route slightly, but you will be fully briefed at the event safety briefing.

Teams that have previously taken part in large charity events should note our routes and event format are very likely to be different to what you may have experienced.

Ben Nevis (1344 metres):

Distance - 10 miles. Climb - 1320 metres. Target Time - 5 hours

Starting and finishing at Glen Nevis Visitor Centre, cross river via bridge and follow path up to meet the 'Mountain Track'. At Lochan Meall an t-Suidhe, turn right at path junction to ascend the 'zig-zags' to reach the summit plateau. Cross the plateau to reach the summit. Descend via the same route.

Scafell Pike (978 metres):

Distance - 5 miles. Climb - 900 metres. Target Time - 4 hours

Starting and finishing at 'The Green', Wasdale, walk south on tarmac road for 100 metres, cross style into field and follow footpath, cross Lingmell Beck on small bridge, and head up to join the Lingmell Gill footpath. Cross the gill at a ford, then bear left at path junction below 'Hollow Stones', heading to Lingmell Col. At Lingmell Col, head south-east and climb to Scafell Pike summit. Descend via the same route.

Snowdon (1085 metres):

Distance - 9 miles. Climb - 720 metres. Target Time - 4 hours

Starting at Pen-Y-Pass car park, teams will ascend the Miners Track steadily to Glaslyn, where teams will face a final push up a steep path to the Llanberis Path. At marker post, turn left and continue 500 metres to Snowdon summit. From the summit, teams will descend into the finish at Llanberis via the Llanberis Path, which loosely runs next to the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The finish will be at the Quality Snowdonia Hotel (formerly the Royal Victoria) in Llanberis.

Total Walk Distance - 24 miles

Total Climb Height - 2,940 metres

Total Target Time - 13 hours

Total Drive Time - 11 hours

Event Total - 24 hours
